This map shows the Thermohaline Circulation of the cold water formation and upwelling (warm) circulation of the oceans. 


 This is an example of a Choropleth map, used to show the population change in Wisconsin between 1970 to 2000. The top image of Wisconsin shows the overall population percent change between the years, and the bottom to images of Wisconsin compare the two individual years of the population density.  
 


This is an example of a proportional symbol map. This map is showing the European energy consumption for the 36 nations during 2001. The more energy the nations use the bigger the proportions are located on the map.
 


 This is a Natural Color Terrain Map. This map was done using the Going-to-the-Sun Road located in northwest Montana, this road is to sight see through the Glacier National Park . This map was used to highlight the land cover of this roads terrain.  
 





This is an example of a reference map. South America was as the source to locate the capitals, nations, and major physical areas of the country. The major rivers are tapered to show how large they become.
